Almost Done

I have been plugging allong on Siesta. I forgot the waist shaping, so I ignored that part. It is a little loose, but it will be cooler in the Alabama summer, right? Ella Rae Silkience in Aqua, Siesta tee from Knotions.I followed Susan's example and added ribbing at the bottom. I will try the single crochet around the neck. I got a white camisole to wear under it. I am in the don't wanna do applied i-cord. However, I have thought about knitting a cable edge for the sleeves, but don't want to sew it on. They may have ribbing as well.

Lots of Things

I got my Knitting Purls Indie Sock Yarn Club shipment. Twiggi Knits Wooly Sock yarn in patriotic colors. It came with a goody bag with Tootsie Rools in stars and stripes, a pattern and a stitch marker.

My edamame have all sprouted. Interesting that these are all GardenSoy varieties I got from the University of Illinois.

The basil plants are surviving, though they have been watered often this summer. This is Genovese.

The fig tree has itty bitty figgies all over.

Lastly, we have gratuitous puppy photos. I wanted some portrait type photos of Belvedere. He looks so different on each side. Poor puppy got sick from eating a corncob. The adult dogs just gnaw on them, and don't swallow them. Then he was starving, and drooling on the floor. He is prancing around, eating again, at least he was before he went back to sleep.

Belvedere

My Mama and Daddy are always bothering me when I want to sleep-making me go outside to the bathroom and stuff. They like to take pictures of me. I am Belvedere, but I get called NO or ahhh-ahhh too. The paper from the AKC that I tried to eat says Talberg's Friendly Belvedere. Daddy named me-you think I could get more respect with a name like that. I slobbered on a printout from the new Canon printer and the ink held up real well. We didn't need that power bill anymore, did we? Daddy has new Crocs that are great, but I love chewing on Mama's slippers with her feet in them. I like to be in he kitchen where the dishwasher and the food is. Mama feeds me plain yogurt and anything she is cutting up, like carrots and pineapple and cantaloupe.I like to check out the refrigerator when it's open too. Daddy took me to Birmingham for a party last weekend, and I got to sleep in the house and there were lots of shoes. But the dog that lived in the house wouldn't play with me, even when I barked at her a lot.

More Siesta, Again

Well, it is the only project that I have been working on. It is a pretty easy knit, once I got over the no-stitch symbols on the chart. Once the cable section is done, it is just knitting in the round. I have been been working on it at lunch and not getting to it at home much. Last night I had to rip out a few rows to get back on track. Belvedere walked up to the sofa one night and picked up my skein of Ella Rae Silkience yarn in his mouth. The yarn is aqua-it's cloudy outside. You have to pry his jaws apart to get things out. He felted one of my wool slippers a little more recently, and dragged a wool sweater on the floor. Yes, I need to put stuff up. I have not been walking outside since Tuesday, when I got dehydrated, which triggers migraines. DH took Belvedere to a hooman birthday party with his flag bandana, toys, dishes, food and treats.

Yet More Siesta

I am still working on Siesta. Progress is slow due to resting my thumb tendon and limiting time knitting. I have gotten to the second chart, where the cables move out toward the sides. I think every photo of this sweater looks like a different color. It is a little bluer in real life.

Today I got a prize in the mail! I won a blog contest at This Momma Cooks!: On a Diet. I won 4 4-packs of Knudsen Sparkling Essence flavored water. I have already had a blueberry one. This is great because I drink seltzer anyway, and it is great to have such different flavors. Besides the blueberry, I also got lemon, mint, and cucumber. In addition, I got a magnet in the shape of a bottle of juice and a ChicoBag that fits in a little bitty Knudsen logo bag. Thanks, Knudsen and Anne-Marie!

Decorated Dog

I saw dog collar covers last weekend. This is one of those things I can make, I thought. So I made Belvedere one for July 4th. I got it a little small, so I need to make another. This one might have to go to Punkin, but it is cute. Belvedere just had a bath before these shots.

Siesta Continued

Siesta Continued

I am still working away on the Siesta tee with Ella Rae Silkience yarn. The cortisone pills are for two weeks this time. The tendon is a lot better.

Last night I did the first session of the Couch to 5K training. It was a bit warm, and felt odd running and walking with my heart rate monitor. The hill in my route makes a big difference in my HR. I also put my gray water bottle down on the gray asphalt and could not find it in the gathering dusk. I did survive.

More Knitting

I have worked a little more on Siesta. My tendenitis is much better with the cortisone pills, no shot needed yet.
