    Scarf Shot

I got a new toy in the mail, an Eye-Fi 2GB wifi memory card for the D50. It transfers photos to the computer using my wireless network. I didn't get the one that transfers photos to Web sites, like Flickr. While I was outside waking up puppies, the photos transferred to my hard drive. Squeee! Not great, but they are there, without trying every USB port on the machine. I got so many hits when searching Google for this Dell 2004 model and non-working USB ports it was scary.

Busted! I did not even see Buddy in the chair. Doesn't he look guilty? How 'bout that sleepy Cookie pup?

I have been looking for this photo. I finally remembered I took it before I removed the old card from the camera, duh!

    Toe Up!

I started two sock toes yesterday. This is the one that I liked better. I almost have the Turkish Cast On memorized. This is Fearless Fibers' Gluttony from the Seven Deadly Sins sock yarn club. It is soft and fuzzy and looks like caramel and cream and chocolate. I call this my Chocolate Covered Nanners sock. This is my first Harmony 40" cable needle. I forgot about the size of the loops, so used to 32" ones.

    Bruschetta!

I finally went to the store and got some Parmesan cheese for pesto. The recipe I use is from Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook. I did add a tablespoon more oil, as I did not follow the recipe and had trouble with getting the basil chopped in the food processor. I just spread pesto on my homemade French bread, and topped it with tomatoes with a little balsamic vinegar.

I worked some more on the entrelac scarf last night, and my hand and arm are sore. Next time I will not cut up the tomatoes for sauce before chopping them in the blender. I went back to smaller needles and started a toe up sock, but did not like the pattern with the yarn and frogged it.

    Saturday Sky and Tomatoes

I spotted this view from the 12th floor west windows of the Houston Cole Library last Sunday. My first thought was, "Man, I wish I had my camera." Wait, then I remembered my cell phone was in my pocket.

Today, I have done a little bit on the entrelac scarf I started long ago. It still looks pretty much the same. So instead of knitting, a photo essay on tomatoes. I picked tomatoes and made two batches of tomato sauce that came out kinda orange. I wonder why. LOL.

A heavy little basket of basil and tomatoes. Cookie stays away from basil, guess it repels puppies as well as Japanese beetles.

There are red Romas. The green is a basil leaf.

A photo of bruschetta in the new Herb Companion magazine led to breaking out the bread machine and making dough for these. I never got to the bruschetta, just ate hot bread. I pigged out on whole wheat angelhair pasta with pesto and tomatoes.

    Silk Garden is Here

My Silk Garden arrived today. This is color 225, all the way from Canada via a Ravelry destash. I found the Halfobi pattern, then of course, I went in search of Silk Garden. So today is yarn pr0n and gratutious puppy photos. I guess those Canadian smells from the envelope made Cookie and Peanut want to run away with it and sniff my yarn.

Of course, there is something to be said for distractions to keep puppies away from yarn. "This is MY stick."

    More Luxor Sock

I finished the toe after taking this photo ot the Luxor Sock. Pattern from Knitspot, Ruby Sapphire yarn in merino/Tencel, Darlene colorway. I had to feed starving pups when I got home. You would think Cookie had not eaten in three days, the way she gobbled the soft food and treats.

    Yarn in the Mail

Today I got my Pink Ribbon Sock Kit from Laura at Sugar Bunny Blvd. It is so pretty. My kit was number 5. Of course, I want to cast on immediately, just like whenever I get yarn and/or sock patterns. My Luxor Sock is past the heel, in the gusset decreases.

    Little Buddy

This is another former stray, Little Buddy. (One big ol' ear is behind a leaf.) Our guess is that he is Chihuahua and some kind of terrier. He and the bulldog mix Skipper are inseperable. They look like Mutt and Jeff. He is very patient with Cookie, who chews on his ears, muzzle and entire head at times. She is now much taller than he. After I untangled Cookie from the sock yarn Wednesday, she jumped down and bit his ear.

    More Luxor Progress

Such exciting titles. I have been Twittering and Plurking (pknit) and I blame Miss Violet for all of it. Especially the yarn below, whose photo I saw in a post on the Lime and Violet Daily Chum blog. I went out to the patio to take pictures for the blog, after the sun came back out following a brief shower. It was still dripping rain, so I stayed under the shelter and put my yarn and sock on the willow coffee table. Cookie jumped up on the table, and I had to disentangle the sock yarn from her wet toe with one hand while holding the camera with the other hand. Then Peanut came over and stuck her nose on the yarn. I had to shoo everyone out of my photos, because they would not strike cute poses.

This is Tea for Two, from Crash Into Ewe. I saw it on the Chum and fell in love with it.I had to have because I am a tea drinker. I wanted something else for Latte Lace Socks.( could not find that link using Yahoo! It was the first hit on Google.) Now I want to make Wendy's Seaweed sock pattern from Plurk.
