    I Had to Have It

So I found this button on Cafe Press. I also got an oval bumper sticker that says RSS. Love my blog feeds. The cell phone camera is my new toy, though Verizon is making lots of extra $$ from me from picture messages. I tried to blog from the cell phone today using Flickr. Oh well.

    testing

Test. Well, moblogging works from my office computer. Not so much from my Verizon cell phone. Anyone have any luck with that? I don't want y'all to miss me while I am on vacation in March.

    A Little More Sleevage

I continued on the sleeves for my CPH. I had to switch the stitches around in order to have the cables together, instead of half one side and half on the other. It was driving me crazy. It took a little finagling to get that correct. And a lot of Law & Order reruns last night. I had to run out while the sun was out today to take photos. It will be in the high 60s today. I could wash the muddy Accord just to give my Minnesota readers thrills, but I woke up with a migraine for the third day in a row, and it might come back. Anyway, thunderstorms are predicted for the wee hours of the morning, and cold fronts and snow flurries. Any strange blog posts are attributed to effects of migraine meds on the brain.

    Another Sweater Section

So I have finished the left front of Central Park Hoodie, and I decided to start on the sleeves instead of the right front. I will now attempt both sleeves at once with the Magic Loop technique. It's OK, so far. The sun was out before and after my photos, not during.

The tomato babies have had a growth spurt since being put under my sewing Ott-Lite. Also DH repotted them in larger pots.

In Which I Spend Less Money Than I Could Have

I went to Gadsden, AL today, and I went to  the Honda dealer to look at a CR-V, the small crossover SUV. However, they sold the models I went to look at, and they weren't content to just let me go on to Hobby Lobby, so I test drove a 2008 Accord.(I only got up to 75 mph on the Interstate) I think I am in love. However, I did come home with just an Accord brochure and the wooden buttons for CPH you see here.  They have little filigree designs on them.

Spring is not quite here yet, so as I tore out of the Honda dealer's lot after I escaped, I had my heated leather seat turned on, and Johnny Cougar Mellencamp in the CD player. It was raw and gray and cloudy and 45 degrees, so I did not take a photo of the depressing sky. After I had enough of the CD, I switched back to XM.  The 74 is the temp in the car. I guess between the vibration from my Accord's V-6 engine (run circles around a CR-V) and my cell phone camera, it's a little blurry. There's a lot more buttons in the 2008 Accord. It's like Mrs. Richey, an old family friend, said of riding in an ambulance, "Honey, I thought I was in a spaceship."

    Brubeck

I came close to taking another photo for the blog. Hobby Lobby had a handwritten sign posted in the yarn section that said Knitting Lessons  were conducted on Wed. from 10-12 pm. Hmmm, partay night! (I know that means 10 AM to 12 noon, don't e-mail me.) Hee hee, I am easily amused, see above.

I have gotten to the armhole shaping on CPH's left front piece. When I wasn't test driving Accords and CR-Vs, I did start another sock. It does not figure in the sock count, because I frogged my Elfine's sock, and started Embossed Leaves, from Favorite Socks, with the same yarn. The yarn is Ball and Skein Sock Yarn in Fallen Leaves. I am a lot more comfortable with the chart and top down sock.

    D Is for Daffodil

A few more daffodils are blooming in my yard, so here is my D photo. They mean hope to me, of coming spring and brighter days ahead. The flowers and leaves are a bright spot in a brown winter landscape. Click for larger image.

Hot Cocoa Swap and One Sock

I got my Hot Cocoa Swap package today, from Nelda the Knitting Nurse! It was full of chocolate and goodies, including the cutest little knit kitty-cat. There is Bellagio hot cocoa, bittersweet and mint, too. Also a mug in the center of the photo, with hearts and a red inside. We sampled the chocolate, and might have hot cocoa and Outrageous chocolate covered marshmallows later.  The yarn is from Yarn Oddity, by Ms. Pixie Riot "The Birds will Still be Singing." Look at the stitch markers!

I also finished one of my Annetrelac socks the other day, when I needed a break after finishing the back of CPH, blocking here:

The sock, in Thank Ewe sock yarn colorway Winter Chill, posed with the daffodils. I think the camera focused on the daffodils, but this was still the best shot.

    Random Thursday

I rushed home today to make DH a sour cream pound cake for Valentine's Day, and to get a photo of the progress (armhole shaping) on CPH, since I have nothing else going. I took some artfully composed photos on the woodpile, and had a dispute with the Nikon Coolpix over the flash and blurred photos w/o the flash. I noticed there was more light reflected off the hood of DH's truck, so I present the back of CPH on the hood of an F-150. Elizabeth, it is a 4-wheel drive. It is not shaped funny in the center, the circ needle's cable has a twist..

    Cables

I have gotten far enough along with the back of the CPH that I can actually see cabling going on here. I was a little concerned about the purple Kathmandu Tweed aran.
