Not Sock Knitting

I have actually been knitting on my cropped raglan cardigan. The yarn is periwinkle TLC Cotton Plus. In real color, a little more purple. I have just started the Feather and Fan trim.
Raglan

This morning, I made more apple butter. Then I decided to try some freezer jam because we have many packages of Ball freezer jam pectin. The plastic containers are peach jam. The jars are apple butter. I also made French bread baguettes, cornbread and blueberry muffins. Then I knitted for a while. I had a BLT for supper with two different types of tomatoes.

Cookie and I wandered by the garden on the way to pose the raglan on the woodpile. The basil is still determined to bloom, despite mine and DH's attacks with the pruning shears.

In a Red Mood

Well, purple is in the family, right? H is for Hoodie. I have gotten about six inches or so done on the hood for CPH. The cables show up a lot better outside in the sun.

The other reds. I got the LG 8350 from Verizon in January, coincidentally. It goes well with Basque Red.  They also communicate well with each other using Bluetooth, after an initial struggle. (Computers!) The nail polish's name had something about scarlet and affair or something. Yes, I wiped the footprint off the freshly detailed by the Honda dealer bumper.

I left the dealership and drove straight to Lowe's and put 120 pounds of topsoil in the trunk. Had to dismantle the brand new cargo net. Looks just like the one on the Web site, except for the cardboard box of crap from the last Accord. (The net may not be in there right-like the nav system, Bluetooth and voice commands, everything has a learning curve.) The little white thing in the lower right corner? It's a Honda logo. (Why it costs more, right?) There is reflective tape on  the top, and it zips closed. Nice. The cargo net was promised by the dealer, who still owes me a tank of gas. It poured down rain this morning, and the road that I take to work has not been repaved yet.. See the dirt on the freshly detailed back bumper?

Last but not least, a little green. The baby tomatoes have been transplanted into large pots. They are a couple of feet tall, and gangly

All Sorts of Things

So I have gotten to the hood for CPH. I think I don't need to worry about running out of yarn anymore, I have lots left for the hood and ribbing trim. Whew

My Wee Tiny Sockie for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap is finished. It seems to brighten up a cool overcast day.

Peanut is tired. This is the best shot I could get, as the camera and I don't hold her interest enough to make her look up.

But, my FIL can sure hold their interest with a dog biscuit. DH entitled this shot, "High Priest of the Bone-bone addresses the congregation."

Sleeving Along

I am close to being done with the cap shaping of one CPH sleeve. The second one is waiting for the same treatment. DH was bored with my blog and said it needed updating.  I have been stuck on sleeves all last week.  I even did about half a row in the carwash, but the moving parts kept blocking the light. Click for larger.

I ran out to photograph the peach blossoms before the forecast snow tonight. Click for larger.

Still Marooned on Sleeve Island

I have worked mostly on the CPH sleeves. I had a moment the other day when I thought I had crossed a cable wrong, but it looks OK.

The little tomato plants are also out enjoying the sun. It is supposed to be in the 60s today, and it is gorgeous. I  forgot my sky photo the first time out..

Nothing But Blue Skies Do I See

Today, the weather is gorgeous, so I actually went out to take photos of the sky, and other interesting things around here.

Sky from the lake in front of the hunting cabin. See that tree to the right?

Look what DH discovered beside a shed at the cabin.

The temp is in the 60s, so the pineapple came out for some sun.

Lookie, tomato sprouts!

Since I don't have a whole lot done on the Central Park Hoodie, I went for a more artistic shot.

Two, Blue

The Shaped Cardigan from Knitting Pure and Simple in Highland Silk from Elann. Or, as I call it, my Weight Watchers "before" photo. Photo by DH.

I also finished the Mr. Greenjeans cardi from Knitty in TLC Cotton Plus in Periwinkle. Better picture later.  The modifications are chevron lace instead of ribs and cables, and narrower, 3/4 length sleeves.

More Cardigan Fun

I retrieved Mr. Greenjeans in blue from the closet the other day. The bottom is a chevron lace rather than cable and rib. The yarn is TLC Cotton Plus in Periwinkle. the body is done, and I am working on a sleeve Magic Loop style with a really long Knit Picks Options cable here.
