    Last Fetching, Sky, Pup

December 23 sky. It is still supposed to be in the 60s. Tomorrow is supposed to be nasty and rainy. Yesterday was cloudy and dark.

I have finished my fourth Fetching, except for the thumb. This is one of my Knitpicks Options needles being used in Magic Loop method.

Lastly, I followed pups around with the camera again, so here after many tries, is a good photo of Sis, aka the Tasmanian Peanut.

    Fetching Finshed

I have finished my third Fetching mitt. Now I have to wait for more purple Cashmerino to make the second of my other pair, with the inadvertent design modification of the extra cable repeat on the cuff.

    More Like It

The color of the Cashmerino, that is. Here is a more realistic shot of my left mitt, using more natural light. This really went fast.

    Fetching

Ooohh, I had never seen Cashmerino in PURPLE! The top photo is last night's progress and the other one is today's work on Fetching from Knitty. The color is a little darker in real life. (Edited to add: The color is not remotely like this, it is a darker, eggplant color.

    Ruffles Added

OK, so the consensus among my readers was to add the crocheted ruffles to Advika. DH distracted the puppies for the photo shoot. Gee, this has been a complex project.

    Saturday Sky and Mitts

The sunflower heads of summer are faded and dry, but still make interesting photo subjects.

And finally, I felt up to the task of  weaving in ALL those ends inside the Advika Mitts, from Mission Falls. I also had to relearn embroidery stitches I had long forgotten. DH just does not understand why I don't like French knots. I have to admit the French knots make the design. I still have not decided whether or not to crochet the frilled edging. What do y'all think?  The puppies ravaged through a spot in the garden I tried for photographing mittens, and even chewed on my punkins, and my knee, where I had a sharp cocklebur.. Also, the Kodak Easyshare camera recovered after I dropped it on the ground, apparently. I told DH I had been suffering for my art. Click image for larger.
