    All Sorts of Things

So I have gotten to the hood for CPH. I think I don't need to worry about running out of yarn anymore, I have lots left for the hood and ribbing trim. Whew

My Wee Tiny Sockie for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap is finished. It seems to brighten up a cool overcast day.

Peanut is tired. This is the best shot I could get, as the camera and I don't hold her interest enough to make her look up.

But, my FIL can sure hold their interest with a dog biscuit. DH entitled this shot, "High Priest of the Bone-bone addresses the congregation."

L to R: Buddha, Junior (DH's namesake), Trellis and Susie. Honey and Peanut, MIA,  get spoiled too, don't worry.

    Knitting, and Flowers

Hey, remember the Central Park Hoodie? I finished the right front last night, and it is blocking now. Next step-hood!

    Saturday Snow

Why, yes it is snowing in Alabama.  Again. I had to go out and get pictures before it went away.

    Up the Creek

First, here is a photo of the Elder's Mill Covered Bridge, over Rose Creek, near my sister's house in Watkinsville, GA. More info here. This image has been in the camera for a couple of weeks.

The rest of the photos are from the banks of Terrapin Creek, near our house. DH and I drove through the stubble of a cornfield that is usually cotton. I slid on the bank, and was attacked by thorns to get these photos for you.

When we got back to the house, I checked out the garden. We still have tomatoes (see, Bekka? I did say November) and basil.

    Jitterbug, Pineapple

Gee, titles are hard. Maybe it's the tropical heat wave we've been having... Check out the pineapple plant.

And all the talk about Colinette Jitterbug on Socknitters made me get Toscano out and wind it. Thinking of attempting the simple pattern on the label.

    Feelin' Hot, Hot, Hot

Flaming Thermometers! Oh yeah, I had two unopen cans of Coke in my car yesterday. The tops are now a couple inches higher than normal-it's "pooched out." How do you spell that?

    Pink and Pinker

I go through pink phases. Here is new Lorna's Laces Flamingo Stripe Shepherd Sock yarn with my Halo African Violet. This is a grocery store impulse purchase AV.

For all y'all that asked (OK, two) here are the knee sock blockers in action.

This photo just amused me... Easily done, that. I call it Negative Image.

Oh yeah, I went to NW GA Knitters meeting today. There were four people and we attracted the attention of another artistic type woman who wants to join. We have a Yahoo group, NWGeorgiaKnitters. Anyway, I spent the entire meeting working on this, the entrelac scarf for the The Taming of the Ewe in Jacksonville, AL. I think the yarn is called Precious, maybe La Boheme colorway. 50/50 wool and silk. It goes so well with my tropical blooms.

    Squares and Strolling

I have finished my first square for Laura's drive for Greensburg, KS. The itty bitty triangle on top of it is the second one with leftover sock yarn

There are still a few blossoms around. I had to show off my very first pedicure before I chip it or something.

Every year, I always want to take pictures of the Queen's Anne's Lace, so I had to get out there fast before it was mowed or sprayed.

The magnolias are blooming in our yard.

I thought the lichen all over this branch looked neat.

The honeysuckle is blooming all over, and smells so sweet, which can set off my allergies.

I have been suffering for my art again, something worse than cold, wet puppy noses on the backs of my legs when I try to take photos. The seeds from these wheat-like weeds got stuck  in my socks and hurt when I walked. Weeds

    Almost Knee Socks

I have been taking an entrelac break, and decided to work on my knee socks. Remember the one, finished, one? I ripped out the foot and heel so I could make the heel out of Wildfoote and stretch the varigated yarn. So I am now past the heel and gussets on one sock. I still have a small amount left. Hope to make it to the toel. Anyone have a little smidgen of Fearless Fibers Wisteria you can spare? Sorry about the shadow, it is from the window of the library.

The Bob Serbin African Violet has even more blossoms. A closer look
