Scarf Shot

I got a new toy in the mail, an Eye-Fi 2GB wifi memory card for the D50. It transfers photos to the computer using my wireless network. I didn't get the one that transfers photos to Web sites, like Flickr. While I was outside waking up puppies, the photos transferred to my hard drive. Squeee! Not great, but they are there, without trying every USB port on the machine. I got so many hits when searching Google for this Dell 2004 model and non-working USB ports it was scary.

Busted! I did not even see Buddy in the chair. Doesn't he look guilty? How 'bout that sleepy Cookie pup?

I have been looking for this photo. I finally remembered I took it before I removed the old card from the camera, duh!

Little Buddy

This is another former stray, Little Buddy. (One big ol' ear is behind a leaf.) Our guess is that he is Chihuahua and some kind of terrier. He and the bulldog mix Skipper are inseperable. They look like Mutt and Jeff. He is very patient with Cookie, who chews on his ears, muzzle and entire head at times.She is now much taller than he. After I untangled Cookie from the sock yarn Wednesday, she jumped down and bit his ear.

Peanut on Thursday

Peanut, aka Crackerdog, hears her dad trying to get her attention for a photo. "Peeeeee-NUUUT!!" I maintain that Da Nut is part Lab and part Jack Russell. Maybe it's Beagle. If that is poison ivy, she may spread it to me again. We also think she is related to Cookie, who is more than ready to come home from the vet after recovering from an abscessed lymph node in her neck.

All Sorts of Things

So I have gotten to the hood for CPH. I think I don't need to worry about running out of yarn anymore, I have lots left for the hood and ribbing trim. Whew

My Wee Tiny Sockie for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap is finished. It seems to brighten up a cool overcast day.

Peanut is tired. This is the best shot I could get, as the camera and I don't hold her interest enough to make her look up.

But, my FIL can sure hold their interest with a dog biscuit. DH entitled this shot, "High Priest of the Bone-bone addresses the congregation."

More Gifts

The weather was so yucky and cold and rainy yesterday that we postponed giving the dogs their Christmas treats. Today is great for photo opps. I finished one Maine Morning Mitt and started the other.

More Amaryllis

The other Target amaryllis has a bud! I don't know if the miniature one (right in 2nd photo)  is going to bloom, as it has a lot of leaves, but no buds.

Honey sez, "I'm not supposed to be in what chair?"

I made gingerbread men. It was great-Pillsbury refrigerated dough and a squeeze bottle of Wilton Cookie Icing.

Ooh, Look, Pups

So, I have been ripping on all my projects. Must be all the Food Network shows and old  Law & Order shows. I started the gusset on the blue sock, after ripping back a few rows. I worked on the Shaped Cardigan, after ripping out a few rows in the shaping section. I also messed up on Elfine's Socks and had to rip back. Anyway, the Bird of Paradise is budding for Thanksgiving. It has two buds.

I couldn't resist the chance to photograph my Sundara Bird of Paradise yarn for Ravelry.

Since someone wanted puppy photos, Honey was not impressed with the Bird of Paradise.

Peanut sez, "But I am looking at you, Mama. With one eye."

Sky. Scarf and Honey

It is almost pleasant outside in the shade as the sun is going down. Here is the Saturday sky from my often-used sky spot.

I have been working on the entrelac scarf again, as it is cool enough in the AC. I am on the third skein, Plymouth Boku  color 1. The center is Kureyon 170 and the other end is Boku 4, I think.

I looked down when I was photographing the scarf, and Honey was sitting beside me looking toward the scarf. Of course, then I couldn't get her to pose again. She tried to hide behind my legs when DH was rinsing his truck with the hose.

Sewing, Etc.

I have been wanting to make a little zipper pouch for knitting notions. I had fabric left over from sewing my knitting bag, and a leftover bit of bias tape.. All I needed to get was a 7" zipper. Now I have several. Anyway, I used this tutorial, and some of the Knit Wits knitting themed fabric. I don't like putting in zippers, so it took me a while to figure out what I was doing. It is pretty cute! I need to make a zipper pull. (Edited to add: I added a fishy stitch marker for a zipper pull.)  The inside has knitting terms. (I don't know what happened to the photos that I posted the other day, so I loaded them again. Sigh)

We have tomatoes at every stage.

We have all sorts of critters who are not particularly interested in the camera,
Little Girl asks, "When will that corn be ready?"

Sis sez, "No more pictures."
