Growing

The Zoe shawlette in Kureyon sock yarn is a little bigger, as I have been plugging away at it, whle I try to decide on which bigger kntting project to start. think it looks like a big moth with the lemon basil.

 I harvested my edamame crop, and got about a gallon freezer bag full. I froze most of them.

I got a new toy. I decided to start at the bottom of the spectrum, with a 7" Sylvania tablet from Big Lots. It is an Android tablet. It is still an amazing thing to me and to DH. Can't convince Google that I need Angry Birds on two Android devices, though. It is leaning against my knitting bag.

I also got a little bitty jump drive about the size of my thumb nail, to store my machine embrodery files on, since the embroidery machine has a USB port. My laptop is not cooperating today, so I am typing this on the big red Dell XPS gaming machine that is probably bored living here. I learned how to use Alienware to change the color of the lights on the back and front panels. LOL

Belvedere is in the room, snoring gently.

Growing

The garden and containers and my Zoe shawlette in Kureyon Sock 40 have grown a little bit lately

I went to Lowe's and got two soaker hoses the other day, then it rained 1.3 inches, for the first time in ages.

The first tomato. May be a Better Boy. Easier to figure out what it's not. Don't really care.

Edamame

These are baby sweet potato plants recovering from their trip from TN and being left in the heat. They are Bush Porto Rico, compact plants for smaller spaces. It took a long search and many sold out places, I found these.

Red Norland taters. As soon as they came out of the container, I wanted to plant sweet potatoes.

 

Some Knitting, More Gardening

I started on Zoe, in Kureyon Sock 40. Here it is posing in the basil.

We actually have edamame pods

I got Noro Taiyo cotton blend sock yarn in the mail from Yarnbow.

I also got merino/cashmere /alpaca blend dk yarn from Cloudlover. The color is Verdigris.

The Topsy Turvy Tomato Tree has patio hybrid tomatoess this year, not huge vined ones

 

 

Simple Things, and Gratutious Puppy Pictures

I finished the Simple Things Shawlette in Ruby Sapphire Luster wool/Tencel sock yarn, color Kavita. It is blocking now. It stretched out for a while on the blocking board, while I searched for T-pins, which are rarely found in the same place. I located them under the computer monitor.

Here he wants to go get Punkin, who has taken to hiding under the coffee table, making Belvedere have to move the table. He gets his head under, with hindquarters up in the air. She was pawing at his nose the other day.

Simple Things, Slowly

I don't have any other projects to blog about, sorry. I have just a few rows left on the Simple Things Shawlette. Ruby Sapphire Luster sock yarn in Kavita, wool/tencel.

     

 

 

Belvedere is still providing a lot of entertainment, such as stomping on a bug on the kitchen floor. I am easily amused. I went to put him outside the other night, and something green hopped up on the wall near the door. I thought it was a grasshopper, and told Belv he could walk by it. It was a green tree frog, and he backed up and refused to go out the door.

The dog walked all the way around from the back door to get to the patio door, as he also refused to walk by the broken recliner. A family friend was visiting, who was here the first day we brought Belvedere home. Belv jumped up on Mr, Ralph's lap in the recliner, and put his front feet on his shoulders, and two bolts holding the back of the chair snapped. Did I tell you that Belvedere weighed 174.5 the other day? The pup was also perturbed by DH bringing in a new chair, and moving furniture around. He does not like change.

Simple Things, Little Larger

I have been working on the Simple Things shawlette, so it has gotten a little larger. The yarn is Ruby Sapphire Luster Sock wool/tencel.yarn. the color is Kavita, I think.

I got a box from King Arthur Flour the other day. I was in a pizza mood when I ordered, as I have pizza crust yeast, pizza crust flour blend and pizza crust mix, as well as dog biscuit mix and Belgian waffle and pound cake mixes.
