    Saturday Sky and Tomatoes

I spotted this view from the 12th floor west windows of the Houston Cole Library last Sunday. My first thought was, "Man, I wish I had my camera." Wait, then I remembered my cell phone was in my pocket.

Today, I have done a little bit on the entrelac scarf I started long ago. It still looks pretty much the same. So instead of knitting, a photo essay on tomatoes. I picked tomatoes and made two batches of tomato sauce that came out kinda orange. I wonder why. LOL.

A heavy little basket of basil and tomatoes. Cookie stays away from basil, guess it repels puppies as well as Japanese beetles.

There are red Romas. The green is a basil leaf.

A photo of bruschetta in the new Herb Companion magazine led to breaking out the bread machine and making dough for these. I never got to the bruschetta, just ate hot bread. I pigged out on whole wheat angelhair pasta with pesto and tomatoes.

    Saturday Sky on Sunday

June08 I did not get this shot on Saturday, because I did not move the car, and did not want to drive to the road where resided the patch of Queen Anne's Lace. I went by it today on my way to get puppy food, which everybody vastly prefers to the ordinary dog food.

    Yarn and Blue Skies

The sky was very blue and the weather was gorgeous, and there were no tornadoes yesterday. DH planted the tomatoes in the garden. We still have to finish putting newspaper around them and mulching them.

I found the dogwood tree. It is so small, it gets lost in the plum trees.

The mail brought Cotlin from Knit Picks, 70% cotton and 30% linen in color linen (beige to me.) . I plan to use it for the new topdown version of  Eyelet Cardi. I wore my turquoise bottom up one Friday. I got the pattern again from Chicknits as soon as I found out it was now topdown, as I had so much trouble with the yoke. . Must. Not. Start. Yet!

Here are this week's strays. The bulldog is very sweet. I have not been able to pet the terrier because the bulldog licks my hand when I get it low enough. Anyone want a bulldog or terrier? They both have collars, and have been around for a week.

    Snowy Sky

More sky photos. I had the chance to see snow from the 12th floor of the Houston Cole Library at Jacksonville State University. I took these as I was going from floor to floor opening the library.  With weather like this, only the circulation supervisor and I were there. And she  lives a little further away than I do. All the student workers were sick or playing in the snow, maybe.  All these photos were taken around the same time. Weather seems to vary on each side of the library.

Before I left, I took some photos while avoiding wet, dirty pups.

    Gray Skies

I took a photo of the bright peach blossoms again the gray sky on Friday. I figured the sky would be gray again today with the forecast snow. It was 70 F Thursday, and 50s Friday.  Supposed to be 38 F today.

Nothing But Blue Skies Do I See

Today, the weather is gorgeous, so I actually went out to take photos of the sky, and other interesting things around here.

The temp is in the 60s, so the pineapple came out for some sun.

Since I don't have a whole lot done on the Central Park Hoodie, I went for a more artistic shot.

I have been working on socks and second socks, and secret projects, so here are some Honey-Bunny shots to distract from lack of knitting,

Also, broccoli can be pretty with sun and raindrops. It ia just beginning to get floret-sized heads on it.
